Namesake   (3.82/5)

The recipient of the Last Best IPA Tap Takeover judges choice for 2019!
Our hazy style IPA is hopped exclusively with Australian and New Zealand hops and has a medium-full body thanks to an experimental NEIPA dry yeast and a malt bill rich of wheat and oats. Namesake has big notes of juicy citrus, tropical fruit, stone fruit and some resinous pine. It’s medium bodied, has restrained bitterness and a smooth delivery - and a pile of haze too thanks to dry hopping rates of over 17 g/L.

Style: IPA - New England

ABV: 6.8%    IBU: 30

Discovery   (3.64/5)

This hazy wheat beer is naturally carbonated thanks to the addition of 200kg of delicious raspberries per 2600L batch.

Fresh jam aroma and a berry fresh flavour, a little sour, a little tart. Just a simple wheat beer to pair with smokin’ hot summers in the Drumheller valley.

Style: Wheat Beer - Other

ABV: 4.8%    IBU: 20

Capstone   (3.51/5)

A mash-up of Pilsner malt and German hops, finishing dry and refreshing. Expect notes of cracker and bread from the malt and floral, slightly spicy notes from the hops.

All of our beers are made with re-mineralized RO water, giving us the ability to accentuate flavours and mouthfeel true-to-style, in this case a very soft water profile.

Style: Pilsner - German

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 30

Prairie Icon   (3.65/5)

A local favorite, our Farmhouse Ale has a nice balance of clove, citrus, floral, earthy and peppercorn notes. It finishes dry with a hint of spice thanks to a blend of 5 varieties of peppercorns, and a highly attenuative yeast strain. Lemongrass and honey also make an appearance in the whirlpool to add some background complexity to this summer crusher.

Style: Farmhouse Ale - Saison

ABV: 5.2%    IBU: 25

Columbian Coffee Lager   (3.91/5)

Fresh roasted beans from Friendly Folk Coffee Roasters (Joe Vickers) in Drumheller AB, steeped overnight in a light crisp lager makes way to huge aroma and the perfect mix of coffee and beer flavors...like cold brewed coffee!

Style: Lager - Pale

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 30

Belgian Beet Ale   (3.5/5)

A seasonal brew with a Belgian Saison base and a hefty addition of locally grown beets creating a beautiful red colour and earthy tones to compliment the already earthy and citrusy Saison.

Style: Belgian Blonde

ABV: 5%    IBU: 25

Coal Rush   (4.05/5)

Prepare for huge roasty notes, coffee and milk chocolate and background lingering notes of bourbon vanilla bean. Malts from Red Shed Malting (Penhold AB), steeped coffee beans from Friendly Folk Coffee (Drumheller AB) and touch a Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla bean. Expect low carbonation, medium-full body and dry-ish finish.

Style: Porter - American

ABV: 5.8%    IBU: 35

Ginger Peach Tea Lager   (Unrated)

A delightful combo of Ginger Peach Tea and a crisp lager that really lets the tea shine through. Crisp and lingering!

Style: Lager - American Light

ABV: 4.4%    IBU: 30

Full Steam   (3.56/5)

Another lager in the Valley Brewing textbook, a winter seasonal with just a hint more to it than your average lager thanks to quality craft malts from Origin Malting and Red Shed Malting.

Full Steam is boasting notes bread crust and baked goods, finished off with a noble hop spice. Warming and crushable for the long winter months in Alberta.

Style: Lager - Pale

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 22
