Namesake   (3.8/5)

Brewed with 3 varieties of Australian hops and a pile of oats, this double dry hopped brew has big notes of tropical fruit, citrus, stone fruits and pine. It’s medium bodied, has restrained bitterness and a smooth delivery - and some haze too.

Style: IPA - New England

ABV: 6.8%    IBU: 30

Capstone   (3.56/5)

A mash-up of Pilsner malt and German hops, finishing dry and refreshing. Expect notes of cracker and bread from the malt and floral, slightly spicy notes from the hops.

All of our beers are made using re-mineralized RO water, giving us the ability to accentuate flavours and mouthfeel true-to-style.

Style: Pilsner - German

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 30

Discovery   (3.66/5)

This hazy wheat beer is naturally carbonated thanks to the addition of 200kg of delicious raspberries per 2500L batch.

Fresh jam aroma and a berry fresh flavour, a little sour, a little tart. Just a simple wheat beer to pair with smokin’ hot summers in the Drumheller valley.

Style: Wheat Beer - Other

ABV: 4.8%    IBU: 20

Prairie Icon   (3.68/5)

A local favorite, our Farmhouse Ale has a nice balance of clove, citrus, floral, earthy and peppercorn notes. It finishes dry with a hint of spice thanks to a blend of 5 varieties of peppercorns, and a highly attenuative yeast strain. Lemongrass and honey also make an appearance in the whirlpool to add some background complexity to this summer crusher.

Style: Farmhouse Ale - Saison

ABV: 5.2%    IBU: 25

Columbian Coffee Lager   (3.91/5)

Fresh roasted beans from Friendly Folk Coffee Roasters (Joe Vickers) in Drumheller AB, steeped overnight in a light crisp lager makes way to huge aroma and the perfect mix of coffee and beer flavors...like cold brewed coffee!

Style: Lager - Pale

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 30

Belgian Beet Ale   (3.5/5)

A seasonal brew with a Belgian Saison base and a hefty addition of locally grown beets creating a beautiful red colour and earthy tones to compliment the already earthy and citrusy Saison.

Style: Belgian Blonde

ABV: 5%    IBU: 25

Ginger Peach Tea Lager   (Unrated)

A delightful combo of Ginger Peach Tea and a crisp lager that really lets the tea shine through. Crisp and lingering!

Style: Lager - American Light

ABV: 4.4%    IBU: 30

Full Steam   (Unrated)

Another lager in the Valley Brewing textbook, a winter seasonal with just a hint more to it than your average lager. Not a pale, not a Vienna style, right in the middle, we call it a Copper Lager. Full Steam is boasting notes bread crust and baked goods, finished off with a noble hop spice. Warming and crushable for the long winter months in Alberta.

Style: Lager - American Light

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 22

Coal Rush   (Unrated)

This seasonal brew is a medium bodied, roasty Porter with a few layers of flavour. We use Red Shed Malting (Penhold AB) roasted malts to give a hearty backbone and post fermentation we steep whole coffee beans and vanilla beans to add depth. Coal Rush will keep you warm on the coldest Alberta evenings.

Style: Porter - American

ABV: 5.8%    IBU: 35
