ABV: 9%    IBU: 35

ARDI   (3.93/5)

Coffee is usually an afterthought when added to beer... so instead we brewed a beer with coffee in mind! Collaborating with Monogram Coffee, we designed a very neutral blonde ale and then dosed it with brewhouse-brewed hyper strong coffee after fermentation to lock in the origin of the bean we chose - natural-processed ARDI from Ethiopia. This is an ongoing collaboration with Monogram that will rotate new and exciting coffees through OT Brewing Co. and into our beers.

Style: Blonde Ale

ABV: 4.9%    IBU: 15

Running Back WIPA   (3.61/5)

Grab a handoff from the craft beer time machine and enjoy one of last season's forgotten styles: the White IPA. This beer received passes from dreammates Cascade & Citra and runs them straight into the backfield for a clean and slightly spicy touchdown.

Style: IPA - White

ABV: 6%    IBU: 0

One Hundred And Eighty   (3.66/5)

A traditional English-style pub ale brewed with sulfate-rich water, toasty Canadian pale malt, Fuggles & East Kent Goldings hops from the United Kingdom, and our house British ale yeast. Designed to be enjoyed one pint after another within the walls of a cozy pub.

Style: Pale Ale - English

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 26

Bezan's Banger   (4.02/5)

Brewed in collaboration with Stephen Bezan & the crew from Edmonton's Sherbrooke Liquor for Alberta Beer Week 2019, Bezan's Banger is an Imperial stout brewed with apple cinnamon breakfast cereal, lactose, and whole Tahitian vanilla beans.

Style: Stout - Imperial / Double

ABV: 10%    IBU: 50

Schusser   (3.44/5)

Our latest seasonal offering, Schusser Amber Lager, is a malt-forward interpretation of a German Zwickelbier. "Schusser" is a skiing term for someone that goes straight downhill without stopping; with notes of stewed dark fruit and a hint of smoke, Schusser Amber Lager is lightly hopped, gently lagered, and fit for sessioning straight through fall and clear into winter.

Style: Kellerbier / Zwickelbier

ABV: 4.6%    IBU: 28

Natural Java   (3.79/5)

Our second collaboration with Monogram Coffee brewed for Hopwired Festival 2019 features the fully natural-processed Tibebu Roba from Ethiopia. Natural Java begins as a blonde ale that gets dosed with brewhouse-brewed coffee after primary fermentation. Expect notes of blueberry cheesecake with extra crust!!

Style: Blonde Ale

ABV: 4.9%    IBU: 15

Black Lime Wit   (3.66/5)

Our twist on a classic Belgian Witbier-- mashed with 50% raw wheat plus chamomile, coriander, & orange peel in the kettle. Then we "dry hopped" it with Middle eastern black (loomi) limes after fermentation... creamy with a hint of tartness and salinity, we get notes of lemon-lime Gatorade, sea breeze, and childhood powdered iced tea mix.

Style: Wheat Beer - Witbier

ABV: 4.1%    IBU: 16

Kawaimea   (3.75/5)

Our first anniversary beer celebrates two things we love here at O.T.-- hops and basketball! This single hop "super" pale ale was brewed with a hop new to us: Waimea from New Zealand. We kept the alcohol closer to that of a pale ale but dry hopped it like an IPA, like a perfect jump shot from the MVP of Canada's first NBA champions. We get notes of papaya creamsicle, preserved lemon, Froot Loops, and Kaimanua forest.

Style: Pale Ale - New Zealand

ABV: 5.4%    IBU: 45

Link Back: Kawaimea - Brewed In Calgary AB

Hack Weight   (3.83/5)

A mid-strength imperial stout featuring the largest and most complex grain bill to ever enter the O.T. mash tun, a three-hour boil, a significant hop drop in the whirlpool, and a conservative addition of whole Tahitian vanilla beans after fermentation to tie it all together. We get notes of milk chocolate-covered raisins, soft black liquorice, and mellow vanilla cola poking through a chewy, creamy body with refined Columbus hop character. Drink fresh or cellar away!

Style: Stout - Imperial / Double

ABV: 8%    IBU: 65

Prevailing Winds   (3.47/5)

Our first interprovincial collaboration, brewed with our friends Brandon and Max from Avling Kitchen & Brewery in Toronto. Featuring 100% Alberta grains from Canada Malting Co. + Red Shed Malting, and 100% Ontario Cascade & Centennial hops from Highland Hop Yard, this hoppy brown ale is equal parts terroir and friendship.

Style: Brown Ale - American

ABV: 5.3%    IBU: 45

Bier Von Der Fels   (3.75/5)

Bier Von Der Fels is a dry hopped sour lager brewed in collaboration with our friends at Bar Von Der Fels. Inspired by the great white wines of Burgundy, we tried to emulate the minerality, acidity, aroma, and fruit structure that are found in those wines. Dry hopped with Hallertau Blanc and lagered slowly to our satisfaction, Bier Von Der Fels has all the complexity and flavour of a "white Burg" while remaining very drinkable at 4.4% ABV-- the perfect pairing for a picnic or settling in for a few amazing dishes at Bar Von Der Fels.

Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse

ABV: 4.4%    IBU: 10

Link Back: Bier Von Der Fels - Brewed In Calgary AB

Cherry Red   (3.62/5)

A simple, traditional Berliner-style Weisse with cherries added during high krausen. Dig some cherry turnover & cinnamon heart vibes on the nose followed by a wave of sour cherry candies and rustic Provençal rosé on the palate.

Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse

ABV: 5.3%    IBU: 11

Link Back: Cherry Red - Brewed In Calgary AB

American Mild   (3.53/5)

Our American Mild takes cues from the dark and malty English session ales of yesteryear and updates them slightly with the use of Cascade and Columbus hops. Featuring a balanced malt/hop profile with notes of well-done toast, Pacific Northwest pine trees, and a last sip of espresso, it's the perfect session beer for ushering in the cooler seasons.

Style: English Mild Ale

ABV: 4.3%    IBU: 38

Citrus Gose   (3.77/5)

This take on the Gose style sour is blended with 3 different lively citrus fruits for an extra sunmery juice explosion. Sour ale with a light salinity, this beer has notes of fresh tangerine with a pleasant bitter grapefruit rind finish.

Style: Sour - Gose

ABV: 5.3%    IBU: 0

Link Back: Citrus Gose - Brewed In Calgary AB

Ape Index   (3.56/5)

Ape index is the measure of a person's arm span against their height-- Ape Index Barleywine is the measure of how far we could push the brewhouse here at O.T.! We maxed the mash tun with hundreds of kilos of choice Alberta malted barley before boiling the wort for six (long) hours with lots of fresh Columbus and Cascade. This beer has a huge, syrupy body with notes of candied marmalade, Christmas tree, and a bit of sticky toffee pudding.

Style: Barleywine - American

ABV: 9%    IBU: 86

Link Back: Ape Index - Brewed In Calgary AB

Czech League   (3.72/5)

This collaboration between O.T. and Paddy's was inspired by Blake and Dan's respective trips to Central Europe this spring where they both drank high volumes of a certain golden Czech pilsner. We trucked in two totes of reverse osmosis water from Paddy's, tried our hand at decocting Czech pilsner malt, hopped it with lots of Czech Saaz, fermented it with traditional Czech yeast, and lagered it as long as we could before it ended up in your hand. Na Zdraví!

Style: Pilsner - Czech

ABV: 4.3%    IBU: 40

Barrel Aged Ape Index (2020)   (3.8/5)

This special version of our Ape Index Barleywine was aged in Booker's bourbon barrels across three seasons in 2019. During this time, we employed a winemaking technique to the aging process known as the "ouillé" method, or making sure the barrels were regularly topped-up with fresh beer to minimize oxidation. While the original beer we put into the barrels was quite hoppy, it has relaxed with age, exhibiting a syrupy body with notes of crusty caraway rye, sticky toffee pudding, a well-crafted Old Fashioned, and vanilla & toffee from the wood. It was totally nerve-wracking and tremendously exciting to follow this beer as it aged; we hope you enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Style: Barleywine - American

ABV: 11%    IBU: 0
