Painted Paddle Auction - It Takes a Village
This is a annual event that is not to be missed! It Takes a Village is hosted at Cold Garden Brewery is a unique art inspired auction that raises money for Haley’s season as she works her way to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Where women’s canoe will debut for the first time due to gender inequality she and her fellow competitors had to advocate for equal opportunities at the Olympics. It’s the first time the sport has been officially open for women to compete in canoe slalom and thanks to Haley and the dedicated group who lobbied there is finally recognition and inclusion in Tokyo.
An evening of mingling, munching, and music in Calgary’s trendiest brewery in the heart of Inglewood. Ten paddles, each custom painted by a local artist and even a custom design by Haley, will be on display and up for the bidding.
