About Annex Ale Project

ANNEX ALE PROJECT

Annex Ale Project is devoted to good beer and great conversations. We're curious and unconventional and every beer we brew is the result of serious experimentation. For a long time, we've wanted to make the kind of beer that would appeal to beer drinkers and big thinkers. Now that's all we do.

Forward Progress   (3.78/5)

An aroma-forward Pale Ale, hopped with Citra and Mosaic varietals. It's our take on the classic North American Pale Ale, with a hoppy bouquet and a long, harmonious finish: progressive, sessionable, and full of flavour.

Style: Pale Ale - American

ABV: 5.2%    IBU: 0

Metes & Bounds   (3.68/5)

To understand the space this beer occupies in the brewing landscape, all you have to do is walk its boundaries. Begin at the corner that values flavour above all else. Continue to the unmistakable aromas of a great IPA. Keep going until you sense the balance of a pale ale. Then arrive back where you started, and do another lap.

Style: Pale Ale - American

ABV: 6%    IBU: 45

Force Majeure   (3.93/5)

Featuring Cryo Mosaic, Bru-1 and Vic Secret Hops, hazy, dank, resinous, with citrus, mango, and passion fruit aromas. This double dry-hopped NE style IPA might be our best yet!

Style: IPA - New England

ABV: 6.9%    IBU: 0

Bitter Division   (3.58/5)

Weíre drawing a line in the sand. On one side, youíll find traditions and conventions, rule books and old recipes. On this side, we want people who enjoy good beer from a small brewery thatís carving out a corner of the city and declaring autonomy. Thatís the spirit of this North American reinvention of the English Bitter, itís nutty and bready with notes of caramel and citrus. Because itís easy to be bitter. Itís better to do something about it.

Style: Extra Special / Strong Bitter

ABV: 5.2%    IBU: 30

Paradise Found   (3.73/5)

Tart with a biscuit/bread note on the finish. The ginger greets you right up front but is subtle and complimentary to the sour notes. Not overly aggressive in its pallet. This beer is a perfect summer drink. Would pair well with cucumber, peaches, salads, and hot summer nights. Very mild aroma. Notes of lemon peel, coriander, orange, toast, ginger, lemongrass, and pineapple.

Style: Sour - Berliner Weisse

ABV: 6.4%    IBU: 0

Rorschach   (3.82/5)

Terrestrial Magnetism   (4.17/5)

Conically Hopped Wild NEIPA.
Made with Sacc Trois yeasts then conically hopped. That means it was dry-hopped every single day during fermentation. No idea what we're talking about? All you need to know is this beer is stupid juicy. You're welcome.

Style: IPA - New England

ABV: 6.7%    IBU: 0

Long White Cloud   (3.69/5)

This delectable dry-hopped lager features the delightfully aromatic Kiwi hop varietals Wakatu and Waimea, creating a lush, pillowy beer with a decadent mouthfeel and amazing aromas for days. The name comes from the Maori name for New Zealand Ė Aotearoa Ė which translates to ďland of the long white cloudĒ.

Casual Treason   (3.67/5)

Crisp and clean, it features notes of sweet bread pudding, spicy Canadian rye, light sticky toffee and a touch of orangey hop aroma.
We know itís not our standard high ABV tongue slapper. But we think thatís okay because even brewers are starting to think about their summer bods.

Style: Extra Special / Strong Bitter

ABV: 4.9%    IBU: 0

Radial Symmetry   (3.85/5)

Brewed with oats, acidulated malt, and coriander in the boil. We then fermented it hot with a lovely wild yeast called Sacch Trois to tease out some fruit. Later it was dry hopped with Cryo Citra, El Dorado, Amarillo and two cases of orange zest.

Style: IPA - White

ABV: 6.4%    IBU: 0

Return To Magenta   (3.71/5)

Named after a rock album from the 70ís that kinda sucks. Itís a kettle sour thats been fermented with 560lbs of naturally sweet BC cherries which just about overflowed the fermentor. It features a delicate tartness as well as the super obvious sweet cherry flavour and aroma. Itíll also stain your lips like a popsicle and people will think youíve been smoochiní.

Style: Sour - Fruited

ABV: 6.5%    IBU: 0

Null Test   (4.13/5)

Conceptually this is a new idea for us. We brewed a Citra Pale Ale which was fermented mad hot with Kviek (Kuh-wike) yeast. The yeast is doing most of the work here, as it shows off this incredible lemon and lime juice flavour and aroma with a tiny bit of acidity. Hoppy and fruity? Doye.

Style: Pale Ale - American

ABV: 4.9%    IBU: 0
